(BASTROP) Transform into an old-world experience filled with falconry, jousting, storytelling, merchant wares and merriment at pubs and taverns every weekend through Sunday, April 19 at Sherwood Forest Faire located just 35 miles east of Austin off of Hwy. 290 in McDade.

From wholesome family fun to the raunchy, adult-only shows, there’s something for all ages. With over 27 stages featuring period musical talent to various medieval shows running every hour from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., visitors are assured a step back in time.

In addition to a variety of food vendors, guests can get tickets on-line to the Robin’s Feast, a 5-course meal catering to the 21 or older crowd from 11:30 to 1:30 each Saturday. New this year is the Falconer’s Feast on Saturday, April 11 from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. where guests will be served a multi-course meal and have opportunities to handle and fly some of the falcons. This event will benefit Knights of the Grail, a non-profit, that conducts equine therapy for military veterans and first responders.

See the website https://www.sherwoodforestfaire.com/ for slated talent, feast tickets, scheduled competitions,  overnight accommodations at the faire grounds, BOGO admission offers and  show schedules posted five to seven days prior to the weekend.
