The Bastrop YMCA is Back!
We Are Back!!
And we have missed the community! The Bastrop YMCA reopened its doors on June 1, 2020. After a two and a half month furlough, we are excited to help folks connect again! Locations include our office at 1110 Main St., the cardio and workout gym at 1112 Main Street and the Bastrop State Park Pool.
During the closure time the Y offered hundreds of streaming and virtual classes. Yoga to circuit training, family hang time to social coffee club zoom programs were offered to the public to help keep people connected during the time of isolation. The Y also offered child care to essential workers. Our team also designed a plan intended to keep everybody safe when it was time to the Y. That plan starts with a quick temperature check before you enter the facility. Once inside we ask that everyone practice social distancing, use hand sanitizer, and disinfectant items after use. We do a deep clean every day before, during, and after hours. Equipment is sanitized before use and after.
One new requirement is reservations are required for group exercise classes and entrance to the pool. This is to ensure that we maintain the occupancy levels approved by the governor’s office.
Hours are a little different right now as we phase in our services.

Office hours: Tu-Th Noon to 4pm
-
Gym hours: M-Tu-W-Th-Fr 9am to noon & 4p to 8p Sat 9am to Noon
-

The Bastrop YMCA is FOR ALL! We are a nonprofit focused on strengthening communities for kids, teens adults, seniors, and families with programs that protect, teach, connect, heal, nourish, and encourage. No one is turned away because of the inability to pay. Financial assistance is available to those who need it. We know that in these times, there will be more need than ever before. The Y is here to serve.
