Why you'd want to live in Hyde Park
The Hyde Park Historical District sits north of the University of Texas, between 38th and 51st, and is one of the most densely-populated and sought-after residential neighborhoods in Austin. As Lake Austin’s historical designation suggests, the community of Hyde Park has been settled since early in the city’s history, and it was considered to be Austin’s first suburb. A suburb no more, its location is now considered desirable central, with easy access to the UT campus and quick transit downtown.
